  3. Wouldn't that sub-head have been more applicable to Michael Jackson's
    face -- or Brüno's anus?

(Yet another car just drove by with Wacko Jacko playing at full
blast; has the nation lost its collective sense of taste this weekend?)

  6. At last, somebody.
I got very stabby yesterday, reading a series of long archived posts in
a forum where the writer was full of "ofs" instead of "haves" and sundry
other faults for several thousand words. Unfortunately, illiterate oaf
though he was, he knew what he was writing about, so I had to wade
    through it.

I'm no paragon of grammar, spelling or punctuation. But at least (I
hope) I generally makes some kind of sense.

I'd like to think that the OP placed that deliberately, as he was
referring to what I assume was a mis-spelling in a BBC News article
that would appear to have been corrected since the initial post.

    Grimly was the OP. And that's not a mis-spelling, it's a totally
    different word.

I was doing a formal document review last week and the author had
declared that that had "organised a lend of some equipment"

Perhaps I should have suggested that they change the wording to "got a
    borrow of".
