So long as the number at the end is right, the string before it can be
    anything.

"There is a new pretender to the throne of the coveted 250cc market"

what coveted 250cc market? I didn't realise there was any sort of
    250cc market these days.

But...why is every little scrote around here now seeming to be on a
    CBR125R. What's the point in all that plastic on a 125cc four-stroke?

Probably the same reason for driving an RX8, because you want to look
    cool and grown up.

when I bought the RX[0], there were several other "sports" cars on the
long-list that were either "cooler"[1] or more "grown up". The RX just
happened to both score highest on my comparison spreadsheet and was
    the nicest car all-round (IMO) that I test-drove. I really don't think
it's a particularly "cool" car, though - just nice handling, and very
practical whilst still being a little bit sporty.

[0] over five years ago now!
[1] say, the Nissan 350Z - but far too plasticy an interior including
annoying touches such as "chromed" plastic door fittings and no parcel
    shelf to cover anything valuable you might happen to have in the boot;
    also quite a harsh engine.
    [2] say, the Mercedes CL500 - v.nice but more of a road-going 4-
wheeled gin-palace than an actual sportscar. Plus the prices, whilst
rediculously depreciated from new blew them out of my "no more than
    12-18 month old" category.
