Hokey Cokey Snowmen

  1. Indeed.

I get bored of certain pieces of music if I keep listening to them...
which is probably why I've got at least 20 CDs worth of MP3s in the car
at any one time, with anything ranging from Keane to Kevin 'Bloody'
Wilson... Mozart to Muse... Dire Straits to Dudley Moore performing a
    Grieg piano concerto.

I spend about 5 hours a day, five days a week invariably parked up on
the M25 at the mo, and even I don't get bored with listening to music -
    it's a bloody broad church.

I like a bit more 'chat' and some news to break up the monotony.

Talking to colleagues helps a bit, but I have found that it can be quite
isolating working in a field management role.

Hence me preferring to put the radio on rather than listen to music a
    lot of the time.

To describe music as 'monotony' marks you out as an individual who thinks
Barrat homes are the way forward.

You know precisely feck all about what's going on in my mind with
regards to music. I'd guess that my interest in it is equally as avid as
almost anyone posting here - to the extent that I do actually play an
    instrument [1].

I suggest you shut the **** up and leave people to have their own
    opinions without belittling them.

[1] Piano, to grade 8 standard.

  5. Yeah, well I have days like that... I just happen to find the
mainstream twaddle you tend to find on Radio One and Two boring these
days, Radio Three isn't my bag first thing (although I do like a bit of
'Smooth Classics at Seven' on Classic FM of an evening if I've been
working that late and I'm in no particular rush to get home), and Radio
Four is too straight laced for my liking first thing.

Yes, I'm a fussy fucker for sure when it comes to my choices in radio
    listening. ;-)

What I'd really like is a decent phone in chat show where they tend to
debate the more serious stuff in life to listen to, but I've yet to
find anything along those lines available when I tend to be in the car.
    (between 6am til 9am - 4pm til 7pm usually)

To be fair though, I've not really looked that hard, so there's
probably something ideal out there, I've just never stumbled upon it -
any suggestions gratefully received - I do a fair bit of the south side
of the M25 most days, so any London stations are normally within range
for the bulk of the journey.

I don't need to belittle your opinions: you do a fine job on yourself.

Latest disaster. I'm trying to use AllofMP3 to digitise my vinyl.

.... there's not a trace of The Tom Robinson Band. Which is a bit of a
    problem.
