Made that mistake years ago. Shortly after we met I drunkenly
mentioned that "when I first met you and your sister I had a hard time
deciding which of you to ask out".

This beautifully illustrates the saying "women forgive, but never
    forget".

Been to Tunisia in February and it's not that warm, either. Well,
between 10C-20C, which obviously is a tad warmer than here.

  10. Well I was planning on going there in Feb. We shall see.

Egypt last Dec was only warm 9am to 3pm, with ski jackets on if we went
    out in the evening.

Canaries was warmer 12 months ago both Tenerife and Fuerteventura

Cape Verde sounds better. If Kenya doesn't quieten down that's were I'll
    be going.

I was in Naples last year, third week of Jan. It snowed on Vesuvius[1] and
was chilly at sea level at times. Sicily is not that much further south.
Although, during the week I had some warmer days, probably 18C at the max.

Overall the holiday was fine. The temperature was perfect for walking
around the ancient sites and there was not much traffic along the Amalfi
coast. When it rained it came down hard but the storms didn't last for very
    long.

[1] and melted within 24 hours
