Holiday in late July

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by vulgarandmischevious, Jun 5, 2006.

  1. If I wanted a week's holiday, in late July, where the principle
objective is utter relaxation, in good weather, where would be a good
place to go? Anywhere in the world considered.

You could go to Walsenburg and count the grasshoppers on my property.

  3. You've got a place there, have you? You must let me know when you'll
be there, and I'll drop by and say hello.

How far from Colorado Springs is it? 100 exits on I-25, I see.

    1016 miles.

The US makes me laugh, with its enormity:

    "Continue on I-80 E - go 473 mi"
    Hey, now you're talking...
    <phew>

I will stick it in my diary and see how it goes.

I have to go to the Middle East at some point, and I was trying to
decide whether to combine the company-paid trip there, with a little
    self-funded tourism.

Which part of the world will you be travelling out from?

  7. Probably the Middle East, but I could catch a connection as I pass
through Europe. Or I could do something from CONUS.

Will it just be you on this seven day holiday, or will you be bringing
    others with you?

....Just so I can suggest something properly.

No house, only bare land. It's about 30 minutes out of town by the state
    park.

I'd suggest South Africa, but as you've a) mentioned July and b) hate
    the place I won't.

Somewhere in the Caribbean would seem the logical choice.
