    No question.

This may be true enough akcherly! but we was moved after the original
res developed a construction noise problem. The Royal Rex in Rodney Bay
is a kind of old fashioned polished Alabaster retreat and nice enough
for it, but you would only use it as a base. The bay area is very nice
and clean for swimming/diving with a lot of fishy life. The reason to go
is the Scuba experience in the Marine Reserves, Petit Piton and Gros
Piton being the ones I visited. Gros is better as Petit had some storm
damage several years ago and is recovering though it does have more
interesting terrain rather than an unbroken decline into the abyss.

Can't be sure about the weather, but the "Folly" at Fingals is the best
    place for me.

It *is* a beatiful island. With, according to the Telegraph, a "soaring
    homicide rate among drug gangs".

I would normally suggest somewhere like Dubai, but it's just sand
    these days.

<thinks> Sri Lanka or Madagascar. Sri Lanka if you want to chill
    out.

    Stay at home.

No packing hassle, no rush to catch ferry/train/plane at stupid hour.
    No worry over fuel/food/hotel costs.

And whenever you go away, someone allways gloats how good the weather was
    back home.

Hopefully. We had this great idea, when I had 200K worth of options for
the place I worked that went tits up. So, we're starting over. I need to
hit the lotto and GTF out of here.

    busy at work.

Was in a meeting with my CEO this morning. That was pos.

  13. I have to go there semi-regularly for work, so I was thinking of
    somewhere further afield.

  17. If I do that, I'll end up going to work.

This needs to be a full-on, no laptop, mobile phone switched off,
    break.
Funnily enough, I've enjoyed the best weather of anyone I know for the
    last 2.5 years.

Ft. Huacha is not a fun place then?

Santa Fe is supposed to be a good place.

    Ireland, anywhere.

Or more specifically, Donegal. Fantastically remote when you want it to
    be.
