  6. Cos your photos don't do justice to the subject.
negotiable, looking at fleabay closed auctions, less than ton.

    but the clarity is awful.
maybe it's my eyes then - although I remember you complaining about your
    camera some time ago right?

Haven't quite got the hang of the whole Dutch grass thing I see.

Top tip: You're not supposed to photograph it.

  11. That's still at the sweetcorn stage; if you let it dry out to
harvest the hard maize kernels then it does go a pale brown (not really
the yellowish colour that wheat does IIRC).

In fairness, this is a cultural difference:

corn, noun collectively: seeds of cereal plants, or the plants themselves,
especially (in England) wheat, (in Scotland and Ireland) oats, (in N
    America) maize; a grain, a hard particle; a kernel or small hard seed;
    something old-fashioned or hackneyed. --Chambers

So corn==maize is actually a New World thang, it appears.

You're using jalbum, which has a tickbox to link to the original
images, so you can have the thumbnails link to your web-friendly
images, and have those in turn link to the full-size ones.

So did we, although it flashed by in a couple of hours. It didn't feel
like we were doing that much distance, mebbe 250 miles per day (for
the main part of the week), but when I look at the yellow line I've
drawn on my map, it's actually quite an impressive amount of France.

In case anyone's interested, the route (or mine, at least) was
    something like this:

Fri eve.: Basel to Chalon sur Saône.
Sat: Bergerac, via Montlucon, Brive, Perigeux (6.5 hour trip, of which
it was pissing it down for 5).
Sun: to the village and back, twice.
Mon: Limoges, via Sarlat, Rocamadour (lunch), St Cére, Argentat,
    Eyemoutiers.
Tues: Le Puy en Velay, via Eyemoutiers, Riom(lunch), St. Flour.
Wed: Annecy, via Aubenas, Privas, Die (lunch), col du Rousset,
    Chambéry.
Thurs: Home, via Gex, Champagnole, Pontarlier, Morteau.
Fri: Sedan, via Thann, Col de la Schlucht, Col du bonhonne, St Dié,
    Epinal, Nancy, Metz, Longwy.
Sat: Home, via Metz, Nancy, Epinal, Thann.
