    Hi all

My son just purchased a Honda Rebel for his first bike, it's 1998 mod and he
    paid $2500 for it.

Does anyone know what we should keep an eye on as far as problems on this
    motorcycle

    Thanks

IIRC its got the CB250 engine in it ??

keep the oil fresh , they dont run a real oil filter so good cheap oil often
    will keep
it running well , they only take 1.5L IIRC so deosnt break the bank for an
    oil change

Tell him to make sure he doesn't let all 18 ponies off the chain at once...

Keep an eye on his mates and make sure they're not to "flamboyant".
Also check that he's not spending too much time with his mother (and
especially hanging out the washing on "smalls" day).
Also keep an eye out for any Brothers or Scout-Masters that are trying to
    get him away for sleep-overs.

You're right to be wary but it's probably just a phase he's growing through
and he'll turn out to be a perfectly normal, beer-drinking, Aussie
sportsbike rider like normal boys! [haaaaawk; spit!]
