So when is this supposed bike going to appear then?

Rumours around say it's in production but nothing
definate, with the V5 and shaft drive and some fancy
    button gear change.

I might just have to trade the Sprint ST in for one.

If you read it in MCN, then it never will.

It'll have a stupid "stepped" seat putting the pillion's head up high
into turbulence and be styled like a sports bike, and so useless for 2-
    up touring.

    Thats ok, I have had Honda's since 98, VTR1000, 5 different Blade's, SP1 and
a VFR800, all have been faultless and fun.

This here Sprint ST from March is ok, gearbox is clunky, but prefer
Honda's, hence asking when and if it was going to be on sale.

As soon as you receive a letter that starts:

    "Dear Alan,

Congratulations on winning a new VFR1000GT...
    "

Now that would be funny, you never know, if there was such a
competition I would enter, and hopefully have the same chance as
    everyone else.

Nah, your chances would be lower this time having already won.

I agree, but one can hope it would be independant and on the level.

But I wont hold my breath.

Up or down, clutch in our out, blipping throttle or not, it clunks.

It's like the wobbly mirrors, "there all like that sir" said the dealer.

Mine was, especially in town, 2nd/3rd/4th mainly. It seems to
be getting better with age, though.

How many miles has yours done?

Bollocks are they. Mine has something of a long throw from 1st to 2nd,
which can catch one out. Other than that it's fine.

And my mirrors don't wobble either.
