The horn on the BMW is pathetic, so for £14 I got one of these fancy
Stebel horns & crikey, it sounds like the QE2 about to leave dock, but
    it's very effective ;)

Yeah, I got a Stebel Nautilus Compact for the FJ1200, but since I put
on the new pipes, there's no need for it, they can hear me coming :)

The Tiger sounded a bit sewing machine-ish, so it was earmarked for
that, but now there's a spanking new Triumph race pipe waiting to go
    on.

I can spot a trend here. Do I dare put the muzzy-a-like on the
    12R ? ? ?

My neighbours are going to love me :(

Ah, from the heading I though The Fantastic Four had a new member.

When I switch on mine [1], my neighbours think my lawn mower is slightly
    enraged.

    "Galet"?

Sounds like some sort of affordable housing scheme for poofs.

I've been riding into work recently, and twice this week I've had to
use the horn for its intended purpose. Once for a pedestrian who must
have been deaf as I was on the very loud SV, and again today for a
Transit driver who pulled across without looking while I was filtering
    alongside him.

That doubles the amount of times I've had to use the horn properly in
    the past 5 years.

Heh. I think the ZX12-R breathing through a straight through pipe
    might rattle the odd window.

I hate having to keep the revs down when passing police cars.

I don't actually like loud pipes, but equally I don't like riding
    really quiet bikes either.
