I dunno, plus I haven't read, or bought a bike mag for some years now.
Comfort is more than just temperature, and so is degradation of thin film
polymer surfaces on a range of substrates.

It's all about the elevation (an saving that daylight).

  7. What results did you get? I remember my dad telling me about some
experiments they did with some electronic gear they built for the navy -
they tested internal temps with the cases painted white, black, and the
standard pale blue that the navy buys by the supertanker load, and there
wasn't enough difference to make it worth specifying an extra paint
colour, so they all got painted regulation navy pale blue...

Having said that, I imagine if the difference was 2 or 3 degrees, that
might be enough to make motorcycle gear more comfortable while not being
enough to make any difference to electronics that weren't running
anywhere near their maximum temp ratings...

    I knew you'd pleased.

Perhaps you'd like to do the relative humidity and cf and w.r.t.
Temperature, absolute humidity, perceived temperature, and ranked comfort?

I was never too good on that relativity stuff. I've got too many relatives
now. My perceptions are limited to hot, cold, and tepid.

There is an excellent "hands-on" demonstration in the Sciencentre in the
Queensland Museum in Brisbane. They have an incandescent light shining
at close range on three (or was it 4?) disks painted white, black and
red and/or blue (from memory). The black one is too hot to touch for
    any length of time.

They mention it on their website. See

    ("staying cool").

How do you get them over your head? And won't the legs be a bit long for
    your arms?

  15. Just bought a Dririder Airmesh 2 - XXXL the arms are a bit long but there is
breathing room - It is in basic black, could have got black/grey but it was
    too colourful for me.
