I just wonder if its because he is so good that he makes the opposition look
2nd rate but in fact they are quite good

I dont like him, never have and never will but he is the best rider I have

(and he beat Gardner on each year from '89 when Doohan started until
Gardner retired at the end of 1992)
Agreed that Spencer and Haslam weren't rivals but Lawson certainly was in
'89 and '90.......
