You could be right, I suppose. It's just so hard to tell these days.

you were extremely lucky. That station (which IIRC is the busiest in
Paris) always looks jam-packed with thugs, pick-pockets and general
    dodgy-looking types.

  4. I lost a hire car in Hamburg for 2 days once.

We arrived late at night in the middle of a howling gale, parked in a
side street, trudged around for half an hour looking for our hotel.

Spent around an hour the next morning searching and failing to find
the car, and ended up getting a taxi to visit the customer.

We found it the next day as I recognised a kebab shop sign we passed,
funny how they stick in my mind.

Must be something about Manhattan. A pal of mine who's a concert violinist
was playing with the New York Philly and after the "do" went for a meal with
a couple of the other bods. My pal was armed with an actual real genuine
Stradivarious belonging to Yuhoodi dude which he stuffed under his seat.

He only realised he'd forgotten it when he got back to his hotel. The next
patrons found it though and handed it to the waiter who put it behind the
bar. Mehnuin later flogged the violin to Sony (IIR that bit C) for around
    the 2 million quid mark.
    They're all crap, but WGAF?

  8. That's why I used to play the Tuba. I kept leaving the piccolo on the

That's a piss easy thing to do. The playing might be a bit quiet though.

  16. There was a story a year or so back about some guy who lost his
car for a year in some coastal resort. Misremembered where he'd parked it,
reported it as stolen. Visiting the same resort the next year, he ended
up walking down the street where he'd actually parked it -- still there.

Monz is Mr Bass these days. Getting shot of the Gixxer, but now owns a
Musicman 5 string. Not a bad sound either running it through a Simms-Watt
100 P.A while he waits for his Matamp to arrive.

At least he didn't take up the fucking drums.

My amp's been a printer stand for ~7 years now, and the Rickenbacker and
the *cough* Marlin *cough* are gathering dust on the wall above it.
Ah. Mrs Eddie has a set of them.

There are probably more instruments hanging on walls than there are being
played, so tha's not alone. I've not seen a Marlin for years though. Is it a
    pretty coloured one?
    Oh dear :)
