I've got one similar to that. I suppose if I bring it home it'll save me
drying out my gear after the rain.

I knew there'd be one. A few finishing touches and I'm sure it will be
ready for EOSM. You'll recognise me, I'm the 36-26-36 'dumpy bird'
who'll be watching you eat your words...

Call me a safety nazi if you like but I'd never sacrifice gloves or
    wearing a pair of jeans..

It's not just about sliding down the road but a wasp flying up the leg
of a pair of shorts at 60MPH.

I can also state that rugby shirts offer good crash protection.

33% I think as neither of the other cars moved either.

And they were wearing jeans and t-shirts (the people, not the cars)

Without wanting to sound overly sanctiminious, but are you possibly
    exaggerating this a tad?

I spent two consecutive full days on the bike in the middle of July in the
heatwave last year - full (black) leathers. Okay they're vented in the
front, but they're fairly solid kit.

Now, I tend to sweat a lot (ho hum) and get very warm - but I found that
bearable and certainly I didn't dehydrate...

Therefore I find it a _bit_ strange that you'd get dehydrated in just 50
miles in a medium warmth day unless you're riding like Valentino Rossi and
TBH, they do 50+ miles without dying either...

THis is what you had on the cordon weekend wasn't it, or was it full
    leathers?

I was just nipping down to the train station. I've got prescription
sunnies, but I'd have had to carry my normal specs as well. So, no.

You fall off the back of other peoples bikes often do you?

  13. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Salad Dodger
Why do you wear them, then?

    You dwb, surely not.
Nope, all I'd had to drink today before going out was 2 cups of
coffee. Which as I'm sure you are aware has a diuretic effect. My
body complains if I mistreat it. Which I do at every available
    opportunity.
Lucky you. As I'm light weight and have low blood pressure anyway I
tend to get mild dehydration quickly.
Different bodies respond in different ways. Are you carrying a fair
    amount of fat?

Looks very much like the pillion meant to get off the bike, they were
holding on under the riders arms and then lifted their feet off the
pegs, moved their arms to the back of the rider and pushed while kicking
    their feet out backwards.

Couldn't explain why they would want to do this but hey ho people are
weird. Possibly a Jackass type stunt.
