How's that for motivation?

Another visit to the NEC, another day of spending money I didn't
    intend spending when I arrived.

One Brembo brake lever, one set of Harris rearsets, one set of Harris
clip ons. That lot's destined for the 10R after it's French adventure.

One Abba superbike stand, purchased with extra adaptors so I can
remove the swinging arm on the 10R.

One pair of heated socks so my toes don't turn to ice in January when
    we head east.

That's given me a few jobs to get sorted out over the winter.

I've got one of those with the regular adapters for 10r and zrx... How
    do the extra adaptors work?

You remove one of the footrest mounting bolts from each side and screw
some of the 'bobbins' in so it picks the bike up off the footrest
mounts rather than the swinging arm spindle.

We walked away with a stand, a kit for the 10R, the R1 and the FZ1
plus the bits to let me take the swinging arm off for £110 so we can
use it on any of the bikes (1).

I was going to **** about using a front paddock stand and a trolley
jack to take the shock and swinging arm out but this should mean I can
leave the bike in the air for as long as I like which I wouldn't want
to do if it was on a trolley jack.

    (1) The Tenere and LC have centre stands and the outfit doesn't
    matter.

Yeah, I'd have thought so. The stands themselves are excellent, in
fact they're the only thing I feel comfortable lifting 220 kilos of
ZRX up with, 'cause I know once the bike is clamped in it's going
nowhere, unlike the cheap paddock stand that gave way.

'Kin hell Andy, why didn't you mention on here before now that you wanted an
    Abba to fit the 10R?

I had one exactly for that sat here in my garage until this fucking
afternoon. Bought off Christofire when his bike was written off and sold to
    an SV 650 owner.

Super piece of kit and the guys that make them are great too.

When we were running The Workshop (see sig) them came down, saw what we
where doing and donated a stand with a compete set of adaptors foc.

It had a great deal of use on a whole variety of machines, over the years.

I hadn't really thought about it because I've got good paddock stands
for doing general maintenance on the bikes, it was only when I was
working out how to remove the swinging arm that I decided to buy the
    abba stand.
    D'oh.
