I am not so sure ukrm would agree with this

  1. "Biking is better for your back. A typical bike riding position keeps
your spine nicely stretched out. A car is much more cramped."

Not to sure I do either. I have ridden all sorts of shapes of bikes
over the years and many of them for hours at a time. I don't think I
have had one yet that came anywhere near the comfort of a car seat.
With the possible exception of the early mini's but then comfort was not
high on the list of selling points for those.

I got the quote from this place.

    http://www.getintobiking.com

Most of what I have read seems right though. Mind you there is a lot
    more to read yet.

I just cannot stand being in the car for more that an hour, I get
horrible pain down my right leg.

I never feel this on the bike.

  3. Coo was I ever wrong. I mean..

"Lambretta LI 50 - Modern scooter with retro styling, looks like a real
    classic."

I beg you pardon?? I was tempted I tell you, I damn nearly cross posted
this to the scootists because they would know that there were only ever
two good looking scoots they ever made and one was the D and the other
    was the Essex 200.

And then I am starting to wonder if I have missed something because then
I realised I hadn't actually looked at the styling of this modern retro
scoot and put it into google and nothing about anything new came back
    only old stuff. How odd.

Previously I had noticed that mcn features quite a bit. Actually it is
on every page I have visited so probably more than quite a bit when
there must be pages where it is featured.

And then I found a bit where it said the Bindit 12 was a popular
restricted bike, which explains why most of them go so slow I suppose.

Then **** me sideways if I didn't come across this little titbit in the
very first post in the very first thread I read..

    "
hi found this site today thanks to that brill paper mcn.Iam new to
biking and have just passed my theory and done my cbt"

and then I just happened to wonder what I would find on the Contact Us
    pages.

    Amazing really.

It says 'better', not 'more comfortable'. They are not always synonymous.

I do. My back was fucked some 25 years ago and the ONLY place I'm truly
comfortable is on the bike. Th4e Zed, not the VN.

I have ridden all sorts of shapes of bikes
I'll have a squizz at that site.

Clearly it's going to depend on the car and the bike, but I can quite
happily drive the volvo for twelve hours solid all the way across
France without being in the leat bit tired or stiff at the other end.
I've done eight to ten hours in a day on bikes before, but always need
another day to recover at the destination.
