....but I had a fucking good time this weekend.

Many thanks to all who turned up. It was nice to see a few new faces,
    and some old ones reappearing.

Mike and Mu did us proud again. Great food, well kept beers, friendly
service from their ever efficient staff, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere
ensured everyone had a good stay.

    Thanks to them all.

I would like to echo your sentiments.

    Cheers.

Indeed, a top weekend. Even the sleet on the M40 coming home didn't dampen
    my enthusiasm.

And BSB on the telly this afternoon in the fucking pouring rain, great
    stuff.

If you could just get them to install underfloor heating in the beer garden,
I think it would be faultless...

I enjoyed myself, I think. Thanks from me to the Black Horse as well.

Thanks to those who kindly let me find out that I really need a 10R.

    Anyone want a 955i?

I wish I could, but I couldn't, in the end.

At least everything's sorted now, plus I now have a shiny new MOT on
the Wing, and a fully reconditioned pair of Daytona Travelstars, so
the weekend wasn't a complete washout.

Let me know where to send the cash, eh?

It was probably one of the best ones so far. I've not even had a
    hangover!

Thanks to everyone at the black horse, and also you loz, for playing
    mong-herd.

Top weekend, top people and the "Oh **** he looks unwell" Black Horse Rescue
team are thanked for sorting me out when I had my strange "Out of body"
dizzy experience around 8.15 in the evening and slept until next morning
    without incident further.

All seems well so far today so fingers crossed.

Sounds rather odd, are you planning to see the doc about it?

I'll coast through the week this week and see if anything conspires to give
me another fright on the same front.

Up to 8pm I was fine, then by 10 past I was feeling *distinctly* odd.
Now as someone that simply doesn't *do* drugs other than the medicinal kind
occasionally it felt like I was on a trip. I only have descriptions from
others of the feelings experienced, but it's definitely something I really
don't want to experience ever again.

If I was pissed I could understand it, but I wasn't

    Ta for the sympathy

Shame you couldn't make it, your company was missed.

No need to send any cash, you informed me in a roundabout way in time.
Sorry if you have the wrong mobile number, I'll mail my new one.

All those who said they weren't coming were accounted for in the
fugures. In the end we had more, not less, than expected.

I won't be challenging you for the title. On the way back it hailed so
hard I though the windscreen was going to come in. Down to 10mph in
the outside lane of the M6, road markings somewhere beneath a thick
covering of white that appeared in about 10 seconds.

There's much truth in the phrase "there's always someone worse off than
yourself". During this I spotted a chap on the hard shoulder trying to
hitch a lift with one hand and control a golfing umbrella with the
other. As the police were about I think he'll have been given a lift
shortly after I passed, but not to the destination he had in mind.

Aw. I have fears of it all being a bit "Pahnd-Zealand" if I had turned
    up. :)
Ta. Takes the sting out of the boot re-furb. A bit. Mind you, they
look brand new, now. 8 years and counting.

The MOT means the Wing's now passed 7 on the trot, without seeing the
inside of a dealership - I must be doing summat right.
The one I used ends in 553.

If anyone else wants to email me their number ( I have a new-ish
    phone), I'm all inboxes.
    Good stuff.
