  1. .... there is no god.

    But if there was, he would clearly love the owners of ageing Kawasaki
    SillyBikes (tm).

    Only, when a part made from purest Unobtainium breaks during an auction
    for an NOS example of said part on Ebay, with a not too awful "Buy It
    Now" price, then sure he is smiling.

    <happy smile>

  3. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Salad Dodger
    Speedo sensor. Mine has given up[1], and trying to read the GPS whilst
    artic dodging in the "temporary" limit on the M25 this afternoon
    convinced me I really need a new one.

    Well, obviously. Sir could have arrangement like on the Wing, where
    the speedo drive cog thing is hidden behind a dust seal in the wheel,
    and when you fit your spare "shiny" wheel, you have to lever it out of
    the old one, hammer it flat, and fit it in the new wheel, with crossed
    fingers. Lotsa grease, and it seems okay. Quite why the seller went to
    the effort of removing it is a mystery, though.
    Oo-er.
