Tunnel Guy is of the opinion:
But have you ever been down at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun?

I think I hear somebody somewhere tolling a bell...

    Dodgy memory:

    http://tinyurl.com/565fz

    Has the lyrics

it's "silver-black phantom bike" which is probably meant to be
    metaphoric not literal

I can't recall if there was a "phantom" model of any major brand but I'm
sure it wasn't this one he had in mind ;-)

even the camber on the road is a bit much of a curve for a boat
    anchor...

If you tried terrorising a Hardley anlong the GOR, You'd soon be
following him into the drink, Something about Hardleys & curves.

Yeah, try following Pete around the twisties on his Harley. He doesn't
counter steer, he counterleans, and he tricks you into thinking the road goes
the other way and sends you into the drink.

A mate thought it was "bantam bike". He'd never actually seen a Bantam, and
I'm trying not to picture Meat Loaf on one.
