anyone have a ballpark idea of what a CB1100RB (naked) that has been
sitting a shed for the last 10-15 years needing a topend rebuilt thats
done most of its life club racing/track days be worth.

    why?

My neighbour has a CB1100RB (naked) that has been sitting a shed for
the last 10-15 years needing a topend rebuilt thats done most of its
life club racing/track days sitting in his shed and doesnt have much
of a idea of whats its worth

    (neither do I)
    (google it, I had to)
(isn't there one of these is the Bathurst Motor Museum?)

Yeah but you'd have to find someone who thinks
    a) old Honda
    built-to-win-hollow-victories-and-then-outdated-by-the-very-next-year
    specials are valuable,
    and
    b) has money!

Maybe if you hang around the Lotto office and advertise to lucky old-bogans!

Is that taking inflation into account?

Well... there were only 1050 of the RB manufactured... it *is*
    collectable.
I'd be thinking of advertising a bit wider and concentrate on the
owners clubs - y'know the way people get when it's collectable.
Try this: http://www.eskimo.com/~carcosa/forsale1.html for prices and
this: http://www.eskimo.com/~carcosa/1100R.html for links to the
    owners clubs.

From memory this was the bike that (Rocket) Ron Haslam, Joey Dunlop
and Wayne Gardner campaigned so successfully in the 'superstock'
series around the early 80's - in its day I recall lusting after one
and thinking it was unfeasibly powerful (probably was for a lad of
    18!)

    Cheers,

OK, so how would you apply said levy to, say..., a birthday cake?

I doubt the the "good ol' boys" would be drinking Irish Whiskey Tim; I'd
expect it'd just be ordinary Whisky.
