    I'd hope you of all people know the context.

    Just made me chuckle that that came out top.

    I do, but it looks better if you spread the word!
    Only 2 had Flange. A nice word.

    Its an odd coincidence that of the relatively few short words that have no
    true rhymes, two are true colours and a third can also be defined in some
    contexts as a colour:
    purple, orange and silver.

    Doesn't orange rhyme with hinge? Or is it 'cos I'm a northerner?

    hirple? OK, so it's of jock origin but it is in the OED.

    Little Dicky Dilver
    Had a wife of silver;
    He took a stick and broke her back
    And sold her to the miller;
    The miller wouldn't have her
    So he threw her in the river.

    Hmm...guess you are right about orange and silver

    Does for me, but I'm a Northerner too. Ideally you want a rhyme on both
    syllables. The only one I am aware of is the name of a hill in SE Wales -
    Blorenge (pronounced to rhyme exactly with Orange).

    Well yes, but that's a word with a distinct meaning, derived from a
    foreign town. Blorenge isn't.
