    or sounds their horn
or hangs out of the window waving an arm
or pulls in front of you and puts hazards on

whilst riding in the peeing rain
    in the dark
    on a French motorway
    slowly[1]

It might be an idea to stop and check the bike over
for, eg, a blown rear bulb

    oops

    [1] I had a valid reason, ok?

Heheheh, was I just passed my test on two wheels, that happened to me too.
I was that inexperienced that I got to the hard shoulder and pushed the bike
    to the next exit.
    And?

I just left my foot on the back brake.
    It's really not interesting.

a.) You were trying to dial your cell and were having trouble pulling
    off your glove.
b.) You had a wedgie and were trying to sort it out.
c.) Your pet gerbil was trying to escape from the tank bag.

Whilst you're off the bike and have a clear view of the back bit, compare
the number of pillions you have with the number you remember starting out
    with.
