Ashley, I was more shocked to learn that if a car in front of you is turning
right, you're not allowed to filter through on the nearside.

Or do the police just make up the law as they go along?

 

It looks like that particular Plod can't take anything BUT a load of
bollocks. "But if you can't handle your bike very good then you're going to

As bear mentions up ^ there somewhere, ordinary plod pretty much do.
If you're confident then they'll back down if challenged although
expect to then get a breathalyser produced.

 

To be fair, it was the kid who said that.

Point taken, but I'll add that although the words may have come out of his

It's beginning to look that way. I'm surprised that Plod isn't on the
motorway pulling truck drivers for tailgaiting at stupid speeds if they say
that little chummy was being reported for driving without due care. They
really WERE being cunts.

And it ISN'T illegal to pass a vehicle on the left if said vehicle is
signalling to turn right or in the process of turning right.
