I'm lost for words. Islington Parking Services bites back

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by BGN, Jun 7, 2006.

  1. If you decided to contact a tabloid, do holler. I'd be DELIGHTED to provide
details of the cock up I had to deal with last year from this shower. 86
year old disabled father, war wounded, etc. etc. gets FOUR tickets for wrong
plate, wrongly transcribed to DVLA..... took me letter after phone call to
find a lovely lady with a brain. She discovered the offending vehicle was in
their bloody pound. I should have gone for compensation, though.

There's no such word in the English language and don't you try
slipping it in through the back door, you daft bugger.

I wouldn't even bother replying. Wait til they send you a court letter,
attend court, show them up to be useless cunts who employ illiterate
shit-for-brains as attendants, claim expenses for day taken off to
    attend.

The Lozzo approach used to be "See you in court" marker penned across a
photocopy of the offending original correspondence. It worked with Co-Op
    insurance, the thieving cunts.

  6. I'm able to drink beer and chase women now. I'm able, but of course
I'm not actually doing - because I'm working all the fucking time.

  7. That may be my escape, if I have any serious period without tenants in
my house; my dollar salary here won't sustain my fairly substantial
mortgage in the UK, and a lavish lifestyle here.

    Keep that position vacant.

    That's a bit of a risk, isn't it?
    it is.

no, but this is a "just makes the tea" sort of position - I was making
the point that we're all paid too much in the financial services
    sector[1].

I'm interviewing some students next week for a couple of intern roles
    - a couple of the people have stated in their "interests" sections
that they sing in church choirs - I should ask them to sing in the
    interview - that'll confuse them.

    [1] awaits post from SD.

  10. Yeah. I can cover it from savings, of course, for a reasonable
period. But I'd like to use those savings to buy a house here. So
I'm currently hedging my bets to see which way the cookie will
    crumble.
    Good-oh.

You were first person who came to mind. I'm sure there are a bunch of
other UKRMers who work in The City.
you've just nicked someone's car stereo?

  13. Blimey. You still ask applicants about their interests? We were told to
stop doing that years ago. It could be said that you turned them down
because they weren't bikers, for example.

    I'm honoured.

I do agree though, what we pay clueless halfwits for basic data input
    is quite remarkable.

I'd be surprised if *anyone* in our back office is on less than £20k.

These would be folk with literacy and numeracy skills bordering on
    "pitiful".
