Big doh. Still, at least you found him a nice engine he could sell. How
about that strange looking scooter you had? You back on the road with
    anything now?

    AFAIK, fine.
Ended up selling it once i got it running, (3 fucking engines later), only
to find the bloke that bought it was going ot change the engine to a bigger
    one anyway:-(

    The Mondeo's just peachy.

It's done about 10,000 miles since I bought it; it's had 4 new tyres, a
new drivers door mirror and a big ding in the OSR passenger door. It's
bloody thirsty but it's a gem.

I did, Petrolcan finally got it to me :)
The odd one is the maicoletta, looks like this
    http://www.scootculture.org/cs/csp04/cs4_20001pboro_maicoletta.jpg but is a
pile of bits at the moment :-(
The Lambretta that I crashed over 18 months ago, well the engines in my
other lambretta while that crankcase is having some alloy welding round the
crank mouth so i can get going with some fun porting for my new top end.
That second lambretta needs a new light switch fitting ( hours work) then i
can get on with jetting the carb on it, finally theres a Vespa Mark I T5
(German import) that is totally standard but on a B plate and showing signs
of needing more than the odd tweak :)

    "Nidge" replied to Mark sed:
**** yea. Well not very exciting, the witness that i was relying on who said
he saw her stop in front of me changed his statement on the stand!
That was the rug being pulled out from under my feet right there. Ended up
with 5 points and a £635 fine including costs.

Ah well, you live and learn eh?

Heh.. excellent. More up your street than mine. My mum bought it for me
when I had a plastic twist and go scoot for a few months, then sold it
    and bought an XBR500.
My... that's an odd looking thing. A very odd thing.
Still an air cooled top end, no water cooling? Some of these tweaked
scooters look like a right laugh to ride, but anything with small wheels
is going to want to swap ends at speed surely?
    The T5, that's the 5 port one isn't it? Hence the 5?

The electric start is quite a bag of tricks. I had to remake the
contacts in the change over box using bits of silver sixpence's as
    everything else burnt out.

So now youre tie sports lots of XBR's ? :)
Certainly is, also had a Zundapp Bella, one had to go and i only kept the
'letta as it was a 250 as opposed to a 200
No water cooling at all. As for wanting to swap ends? Only above 80 :)
    Thats the one:)

No spares lying about perchance :)
The 277 was essentially the same Ive been told other than because of the way
the torques delivered was ideal for a sidecar
Thankfully, Ive been able to source a mint one :) Mind you not at the stage
of making sure it works yet so still could be fecked

  20. No chance it was when I was 16 and that was .........
    a long time ago!

I might have a photo or two :)
For a scooter it went like a rocket. It was the one photographed in MCN
towing a motorcycle combination out of a ditch on the Dragon Rally in
1962. That was before I got it.
