Exactly what does 'works time' mean, you stupid ****? As in, whilst in
class? No, I imagine they'd take a dim view of it. As there are no
computers in the classrooms, and I just finished two hours with my sixth
years before coming down to the staffroom to post, I think that you'll make
yourself look like a twat if you tell them about it, though.

    But knock yourself out.

Just realised what you might have meant, remembering a chat with a mate who
has the PGCE. In the UK (AFAIK), teachers are considered to be 'working'
all the time that they're in the school, and indeed need to stay there even
when they have no lessons. Not so here.

So in 26 minutes, I'll be back in class for an hour. I will be 'working'.
    I'm not at the moment.

Indeed not. I know, because I was engaged to one a long time ago and she
took some getting over. A big lass as I recall.
    Hopefully not an engagement ring.

So far this is fairly legitimate. You put whatevr id you want in your
headers, because nothing says you should have the same provider for mail
and news (this is also how I do it).

Now, of course it can be abused.

They don't (thank G-d) have helicopter gunships or fighter planes, true.
The thing is that if they did, they'd use them to kill innocent civilians.
True, because their aims are to kill innocent people and to bring about the
complete destruction of the only democracy in the region.
Regarding Hamas and this idea of 'collective punishment', why do people so
easily forget that the 'Palestinians' _voted_ for Hamas? Long before the
take-over of Gaza, Hamas _won_ elections which (to the 'Palestinians''
credit) were recognised as being fair and just. To then whinge when they
suffer from the murderous tactics of Hamas, is just, well ... more of the
    whinge-when-they-do, whinge-when-they-don't mentality characteristic of
Arabs. If the UK electorate voted for a party whose stated aim was to wage
war against France, for example and then France imposed an embargo on the
UK, would the Brits whinge that it was 'collective punishment'?

In short, _why_ should Israel be forced to do trade with a people who voted
for a party sworn to destroy Israel?
All the cunts have to do is stop blowing themselves up in crowded streets
or firing rockets into Israel, and the 'short end' of the stick goes away.
I think this is a fair point, for we ('Israel' in the religious sense of
the word, rather than the geopolitical) are described as 'a light unto the
nations'. The world is right to expect higher standards of us, but the
flip-side is that the media frequently 'plays up' Israeli actions, and
'plays down' 'Palestianian' actions. 'Palestinian' terrorists are often
    referred to as 'militants', or 'martyrs' by the anti-Semitic Western media;
Israelis living in Eretz are referred to as 'settlers'; Israeli actions in
Gaza are called 'murderous', or 'brutal'.

Put simply, the Western media are deeply anti-Semitic; a view which finds
sympathy in the eyes of much of their readership (and which is echoed all
too often here on UKRM), many of whom feel that Israel 'gets what it
deserves' when someone is killed. The suicide attack of a few days ago
(which prompted me to start this thread) made it to the press, but was
buried down near the middle of the page on the sites I checked (BBC, _The_
_Guardian_, _The Times_ and _The Independent_). When 'Palestinians' are
killed, it's on the front page. By the same token, I got flamed for
posting it, yet Cab was able to post this ...

    <
.... and not a peep from 'the usual suspects' was to be heard. Nor did
anyone bother to report that the famous incident of the child being
shielded by his father and 'shot by Israel' was in fact a 'Palestinian'
fabrication to disguise the fact that the child was shot by 'Palestinians'
    and not by Israeli soldiers.

This article in _The Independent_ last November ..

Needless to say, no response was forthcoming.
We're all part of this, for when Iran or Hamas (or the Hizbollah) get their
hands on a nuclear device, Tel Aviv will become a radioactive ashtray.

Indeed. As you gather, I am not a troll. There's really no point in
'trolling' here, as it's so easy. I occasionally post provocatively, but
the only reaction I seek to 'provoke' is that of debate, for other peoples'
opinions interest me, even if in the case of this newsgroup, most of the
opinions are so vacuous and inane that it's toe-curling to watch people who
can't even _spell_ 'intellectual', trying to be one.

My motives here are not very, erm, 'noble' in that I enjoy taunting
fuckwits. The pure _contempt_ that I feel as I look down upon the
steaming, profoundly stupid mass of posters on UKRM, is what drives me.

But as you'll have gathered, there are certain 'buzzwords' that are invoked
on UKRM to silence people or, if that doesn't work, to make others killfile
them. One of them, of course, is 'pædophile'. Another is 'insane'. And
in the case we're discussing now, so is 'troll'. We saw it when 'Mr Exador'
came on a month or so back and started to pulversise the cliquey little
wankstains who spend their time stroking each others' back and telling each
other how they're 'national treasures' etc. The first reaction was a sort
of stunned silence as 'Mr Exador' handed them their heads (not to mention
their inconsistencies) on a plate and exposed their intelligence as being
roughly equivalent to that of a five-week-old dormouse placenta. Then came
the ô-so predictable 'is this Des morphing?' and hilarious attempts to
intimidate him by running traceroutes of whois on his IP. As the brutal
mauling continued and UKRM sort of 'twigged' that they were being
annihilated, 'damage limitation' began, and he was accused of being 'a
troll'. That was enough to make the masses start obediantly killfiling
    him.

This newsgroup is fascinating in that the very few (_painfully_ few posters
capable of stringing two words together (BCB, Phil &c.) are outnumbered by
a crowd of moronic cunts _so_ ... _f-u-c-k-i-n-g_ stupid that it's
borderline incredible. I mused about this to a friend the other day, and
the reply was a bit depressing: 'FFS, Des, it's a motorcycle newsgroup.
You really expect intelligence from them??'

Uhh ... what's your point? That because they're Jewish, they can't be
    anti-Semitic?

Tell that to the Jews who attended Iran's recent 'Holocaust Seminar'.

That because they're Jewish, they can't object to Jewish people on the
    basis of their race.

Apparently they can object to the policies or aspirations of the state of
    Israel, though.

I think we need two terms; how about "anti-Semitic" for the former, and
    "anti-Zionist" for the latter?
