I'm too nice..

After the third time my phone had rung so I could listen to piss heads
jabbering away in the background I very nearly left the connection
open and the phone in my hotel room for a few hours so their bill went
into lunar orbit. Being a generous sort of person I decided that the
culprit didn't deserve that sort of treatment and let him know he
needed to either turn his phone off or activate the keypad lock.

I almost regretted my kindness when he told me that it was a payg sim
and to make it better it was on automatic top up. I wonder what a few
hours of cross network calls would have cost him if I'd been the
bastard I so often can be?

 

You are *far* too kind. The last time that happened to me I plugged
the phone into the charger and left it over night. It was still open
the following morning, 7 hours later. A warm comfortable feeling.

In case you are wondering, the fuckwit in question had dialled me
(redial) 4 times in 15 minutes to listen to his keys in his pocket.

I lost patience...

 

I had that happen to me once. Only I was in Spain, so it cost me extra
to make the call. And the accidental recipient of my call was in
Austria, so it cost him to receive it.

Expensive mistake, that. Still, not as expensive as roaming on Pahnd
Island.
