Imperial/Metric tyre sizes

    I may have mistyped that trail/trial - I'm after a sturdy machine with
    both off and on road capabilities to tour on some pretty shit roads at a
    shit time of year.

    You do know where he's planning on going, don't you?

    The other bikes on the trip are two 660 Yamahas, an R1150GS and a
    Suzuki DRZ400 if that helps give you to give advise.

    Probably the best bet _is_ the MT500. They are built to be squaddie proof.
    You won't get anything better at that price.

    Tyres turned up, the rear is marked 4.75-17 and also 120/80-17.

    Shame the advert hadn't said that 'cos I'd have just ordered them!

    Just got to change the tyres over now...
