okay, I have just got a new relay for my indicators, and when I speed up...
the indicators speed up aswell. when I am overtaking on the highway, it
looks as though my indicators aren't even flashing cos they are going that
fast. could this be a fault with the relay... or a dirty earth somewhere or
    something??

lemme know if you have any idea's.

    thanx..

    Slow down?

You connected the indicators to the tacho relay?

    (but seriously)
sounds to me as if you have a dodgy relay.
Just maybe your regulator is letting too many electrons through, but I
would imagine you would have noticed burned out lights and batteries by now.

Didn't Zebee advise you to go for the electronic one which is not affected
    by load or voltage?

The voltage available is higher at speed and affects the operation of cheap
    indicator relays.

  4. I once had this problem ages ago on an old bike. The relay i was using had 3
prongs, whereas the connector two....when using 2 of these prongs i had a
problem, so i switched the connection and had no problems....

The third connector is for fault indication. In a two prong bi-metal unit
when a light stops working the indicators go slow. In a three prong unit
when a light goes out the dash repeater stays on solid but the remaining
lights still work. (not normally used on bikes).

Just had a similar problem with my bike. Right indicators would occasionally
speed up with the motor, but the lefts were fine. When the right indicators
finally died, I traced it to a wire rubbed through so that it was
occasionally grounding on the instrument cluster bracket.

Try the relay first, it's easier.

Yes sounds like it could be a faulty regulator. If it is then your lights
will brighten when the revs go up too. If they don't, then its a crook relay
    or its wired wrong.
