    Hi,

I am thinking of installing an alarm/immobilizer I have just
bought but although it's just a matter of connecting some
wires to the ignition barrel, I have a few problems. The
instruction say to locate the ignition "ON" switch and the
ignition "KILL" switch. My manual does not have any wiring
info on these specifics so I can't start anywhere.

My question is, is there anyway to determine which is the on
and kill outputs or am iI going to have to get a
professional to fit it for me and charge me a lot for it!?

Also how is it possible to determine the indicator lights
positive or negative. I have a volt meter but unsure if that
    would help

Thanks for any advice on this matter.

    Regards,
    Sean

  2. It would be helpful if you told us what type of alarm you have bought , type
of bike you intend to fit it to would help as well

  3. Advice is don't. Don't install it. Aftermarket alarms are the Spawn of
Satan on bikes anyway. Aftermarket alarms installed by someone who can't
find a wire from a kill switch are even worse.

Sell the thing on Ebay and re-invest the money in a FOAD lock. If you
already have a lock, buy another.
