Got the renewal from CN at a shade under £200. Using one of them quote
things on the webulator I can get a lot cheaper with a major increase in
excess, or through MCE with KGM @ Lloyds it's coming up £110 with £200
excess, CIHAGM, foreign cover and breakdown. What's the skinny on MCE?

I tried some of the recent group favourites[1] and they were coming out
about £170. So CN comes out as one of the most expensive. No suprise
    there I guess.

    [1] like that Footman place.

My oldest daughter works for MCE. Speak to Sophie in customer services
and see if she can get you a better price still.

  3. cue hundreds of calls along the lines of:

"Hi, is that Sophie? Oh good, this guy on t'internet told me to call
you, his name? umm, 'simes', no I've not met him, but he told me to
call you and see if you can give me a better price on my motorcycle
    insurance...."

Does the MCE policy include breakdown cover? It would cost about 60 quid to
get a Euro policy equivalent to CN's included cover.

Also, check to see if any of the quotes you got come with a Quidco cash
back http://www.quidco.com/finance/life-auto/ - make sure you get a fresh
quote using the quidco link otherwise the purchase may not track.

Yes, as above: "... and breakdown."

I see what MCE direct give me, rather than the we-check-everyone website.
Didn't think about that... but most of the other quotes I ignored due to a
£500/600 compulsory excess. And of course the "rule" is to not rely on
    quidco to get something cheaper.
