Insurance for hog left on London street

I am unfortunately enough to live in a highly densely populated part
of London and I live in an apartment with no off-road space, allocated
parking or garage. Finding a garage to rent in this part of London
    (Hampstead) is also very difficult.

So I am force to leave my beloved bike on the street, but it is under
cover, chained to a bloody big tree and the bike bays are right
    outside my bedroom window.

The problem is that the insurance companies are asking astronomical
premiums (some well over £2000 a year) to cover the bike when it is
left on the street. Has anyone got any advice, in terms of a good
broker or anyway to get those premiums down?

    Cheers

    Jimmy

You gotta Hawg, Jim-Bob? Well, then, the solution sure is easy, boy.
You get yerself a great big goddam gun and you go out and shoot down
all them scoot thieves. Then yer insewerance will go right down, 'cos
there ain't nobody to go stealin' no Hawg offen 'em streets.

Or you could consider moving to a slightly more pikey area that has
    garages, perhaps.

I can envision 'hog chained to a tree on a London street - not a pretty
    sight.

The first thing that comes to mind is trying the HD insurance themselves.
They are pretty damned good in the norm. I'll dig out the number if you cant
    find it
Or Auntie Carole might be able to help.
Bottom line is, leaving it outside chained up is not really secure, chains
are like cheese in the hands of thieving scrotes!

Real bikes are made of steel and aluminium , not plastic like those you list
    in your sig .

Q: What do you call a Hog chained to a tree?
    A: North London leisure centre

    "Merely corroborative detail, intended to
give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise
    bald and unconvincing narrative."

I think you need to learn not to be judgemental . To each his own , my
opinion of a "real bike" may not be the same as yours . Some like cruisers ,
some like sport bikes . My favorite is a 700+ pound Harley touring bike .
    Doesn't mean I don't also like the EX250 that's in my back yard .

    And you need to

    a) Get a sense of humour
    b) Realise my bikes are not made of plastic[1]
    c) Realise harley does not = touring
    d) Realise you are the only one who likes the EX250 in your back yard
