My bike insurance is up for renewal soon, so thought I would get a few
quotes to throw at Bennetts when my renewal comes through the door.

Taking the age of the bike and it's current value I am only looking for
Third Party. The amount an insurance company would pay out on it for a
theft claim, taking into account loss of NCB and any excesses, would make it
    uneconomical to claim.

Quotes vary between £50 and £104, for an '82 SR250 ffs, the dearest being
Express Insurance, but they are just having a laugh. Be interesting to see
what Bennetts come up with. It was £52 last year for TPFT.

  2. With express , if you throw your lowest quote at them they have a habit
    of just beating it

The insurance game it ridiculous, quotes vary hugely between companies. CN
wanted around £200 for my Pan yet Bennetts did is for £50ish. The quotes
were almost identical apart from the price. And yet.....when it came to my
10R Bennetts were way over price. It doesn't make sense.

  4. Some insurance companies will give diferent brokers different costs for
the same policy , some brokers are actually part owned by some of the
insurance companies all you can say its not designed to benifit us
