Looks like ebike have shaved £100 off Carole Nash's price, with all
the same legal, breakdown, and other additions included.

    Any horror stories using them?

Isn't the complete lack of CIHAGM cover a bit shit?

I think I have too. eBike where really cheap, but I've not had to make
a claim, so can't really help you out with your enquiry.

Just got a quote from them and noticed this, more expensive than
    Aunt Carol.

No, it's identical, EU Breakdown, protected NCB, and unlimited
Mileage, no restriction on pillions or commuting, and has legal
cover, 3rd party on other bikes.

    Maybe they've improved their policies.

They will spam your mailbox with crap even if you just ask for a quote.
    Try Tesco.

    I like their FAQ...

"This sounds pretty insecure, what if I want to send important emails
with sensitive super-secret information in them to Mailinator?

Then you are a stupid-head. That isn't what this is for."

    and

"If you are at a point in your life where you still think having the
email "" is cool then we envy you."

    and

"So if the government issued a subpeona to Mailinator to divulge emails
or logs, you'd rat me out?

Holy crap, yes. I'm not going to jail for you, I have a boyish face and
    very (very) supple skin."

    heh. I like them.

Let them spam away. It's all dumped to a filtered gmail account anyhow
    so won't be read.

Hmm, the person I spoke to told me it was in the policy, it wasn't
done online but by somebody in the office.. The policy is a
multi-bike one underwritten by Equity Red Star though, same as my
    Carole Nash one.

Anyhow, the quote paperwork should be with me by the end of the week
so I can read it and compare.

I thought Ebike only sold their own policies - this statement on their
    website seems to suggest that:
"eBike Insurance products are underwritten by the Southern Rock Insurance
    Company Limited"

Ebike don't quote by phone either.

You haven't got Ebike and Esure mixed up, have you?

Further to my earlier posting, just had ebike on the phone offering
exactly the same as Aunti Carole and still £5 more expensive, and the
sales droid was astounded when I said no.

Turns out this quote is from the sister company of ebike, within the
    same group of companies... http://www.onebike-uk.com/

CN just phoned me and I said I'd got a quote £100 cheaper but was
going to shop round then get back to them and see if they want to keep
    my custom.

    So we'll see.
