Interesting Week

It's been an interesting and entertaining week.. I've been "visiting" the
group known as Reeky.. hmmm.. I remember a long time ago, I kept hearing the
name.. Finally asked.. "What the hell is a "reeky" that everyone is talking
about" ? LMAO.. Well.. I finally subscribed and have become a contributor
and participant on the rec.motorcycles newsgroup.. I made a very impressive
"introduction" hmmm polite and courteous.. so to speak..

Immediately .. chaos ensued.. LOL.. You'd be surprised how many names I
recognized .. My impression is that there is only a handful of serious
motorcyclists participating in the entire group.. Had the pleasure to
exchange a few comments with them.. good guys.. There is about seven who
have pretty well dominated the newsgroup and really account for the numerous
postings that appear.. Those seven, are located from Canada to Florida and
from New Jersey to Washington state .. even one in Hawaii.. of course, Texas
    is represented as well..

Topics range from school yard conversations to excited chatter about someone
riding around passing t-shirts off to one another.. Not sure what that is
all about, but they are all agog and impressed with each other over it..
Over three hundred posts from about five or six, on onethread.. They've even
started planning a reunion of some kind over at our own Possum Kingdom..
Wonder what that's all about ? Funny part is, they've commenced arguing
about where the reunion should be.. chances are it'll fall apart before
anyone ever has to actually ride their motorcycle..

The serious bikers in the group, don't seem to engage in these threads..
Again.. they are scattered all over the place ..

Much to my delight.. Bill Walker seemed to be well known.. even though none
of the reeky participants ever met me.. (aaaahh.. the price of fame.. huh)

The few who dominate that group are real close, even though most of them
only associate on usenet.. I quickly learned that the small handful, who
feature themselves as the majority, are the calibre characters that no one
would care to associate with in any circumstances.. Whew.. what a
crew..Inside of the week, I began to sort out who those players are and
found that many of them .. the six or seven.. are people who've established
themselves on reeky and gained credibility with each other ..A few of them,
we've known well, in the past on tx.motorcycle newsgroup..

When I clicked on that group this morning, there were well over two hundred
posts since ten o'clock last night.. After reading maybe four of them, that
the main content of each one, had a common theme.. Bill Walker or Brian..
All the fuss about the killfile thing is the favorite threat over there ..
To make things easy for Bjay or anyone who may be confused about this
phenomenon, it's real easy and simple.. I clicked on the "catchup" tab in my
window and .. you got it.. They're not showing up as "unread" any longer..
    LOL.. See there Bjay..?

Not really much of interest on reeky, but if you'd like to be amused and
entertained by a bunch of desperate wannabe juveniles acrobatics, it might
be fun to pay them a visit.. I've certainly enjoyed the experience and
believe that I've made my mark in that forum.. I'll continue to surf and
    contribute on that group..

Like I say, there's a few serious biker types on there, but for the most
part, it consists of people who'd be ignored in any group of real bikers or
    men/women with any values..

  3. I had the Samson Rolled Thunder on my RK with a PC2 and was pretty happy
with the setup. Deep tone, very controllable, good flow. they weren't
horribly expensive, but as with anything associated with HD, yer gonna
pay. Definitely take a look at what they offer.

Gawd.. If you'd bought the Heritage, I'd have got a divorce and come to
Houston to marry you... LMAO.. That's the best looking motorcycle on the
highway..(except my detailed Vulcan).. I've wanted one of those things since
    about 1988..

I don't know what kind of sound you are looking for, but if there is a
dealer that handles them, Custom Chrome fabricates a three inch set, that is
top of the line.. There again.. expensive.. Damn.. all these motorcycle
accessories are, though.. aren't they ? Ride that new Harley.. that's why
    they build them.. Cheers

And a inaccurate purveyor of actual events. Someone even predicted
he'd take his "thrumping" over in Reeky as a "win" or some sort of
    compliment.

    From your quote:

"Much to my delight.. Bill Walker seemed to be well known.. even
though none of the reeky participants ever met me.. (aaaahh.. the
    price of fame.. huh)"

    He did just as predicted.

  10. James Wilson...that name is familiar. Oh yeah another moron
that is going to the kill file. You think your bad? Think
your tough? Think your friends are tough? If Bill is so
tough let him dig his own grave. You made some interesting
threats earlier...not a chance in hell you could ever back
them on that slow ass bike of yours.

Surely this bunch from rec.moto isn't the best they have over there....

<to save space from multiple postings>

And you have Keith figured out quick! He got his ass dumped in Killeen and
he couldn't take it. Faked a med to get out and he's been on the run ever
since. When he'd post (while he was trying to fake that med) he'd write
    "jjjjuuuuststttt aaaabbboooouuuuttt lllliiiiikkkkeee ttthhiiisss". Either
that, or it would be "Ayma gunnna ryte lykkkooollddd keeeiiitthhh
ssshhhiiiiiffffnnnneerr". Most of the time, it would take a translation of
about 5 or 6 people to figure out what he was trying to convey. His poor
typing skills didn't convince anyone and he had to resort to pissing in his
bed, pissing in his buddies' bed, pissing in the SSgt's bed, and even went
so far as to sleep with the psych doc.

He's the old classic head case.

Now he's back and thinks he's found something neat with that "killfile"
thing. He's got half of the internet "killfiled" and doesn't understand why
    people ignore him.

It's the basic determination of which of two bikes is faster than the
other. There are other things that have to do with that data, but this
    is the most basic.

Now Geeky, hate is such a strong word. You can never
hate what you never loved and I sure never loved bill...but
the level of dislike is so strong. Especially when my
military record is disparaged with slander, lies and liberal
    innuendo.
BTW I like the cut of your gibberish.
