If you look closely, you'll see a link to the story from last month
where he was found guilty - this is just the sentencing that's new
    today.

    TOG@toil, ,
You do realise that if I had to place a bet on who would get duffed up
for NG activity you'd be leading the list, don't you?

Of course you went to a boarding school so it may be the masochistic
streak you developed that's making you grin...as you contemplate taking
a beating from one of your legion of stalkers.

  5. I'm a reformed character. I haven't had a death threat from a Usenet
    posting for years now.

I did manage to get a threat of GBH from an ebay auction, though.
    Seriously.

  7. Some scouser who won an auction for a set of piston rings and gave me a
load of bunny about why he couldn't pay (all of £15). So I negged and
NPD'd him and he went ballistic.

Got his mates (or sock puppets) to screw up all my auctions.

That got him barred form Ebay, and his mates/puppets as well. Three
    accounts in one hit :))

He was not a happy bunny. Threatened to break my legs....

The Doctor seized the phone (he pulled my details from Fleabay) as he
was talking to/threatening my son and screamed at him that if he touched
any of her family, she'd "fucking kill him". He went quiet after that.

I have to say that I really would not want to get on the wrong side of
the Doctor. Lovely lady but I would not wish to be on her "death list".

  11. Passed on. I have to say, my eyebrows practically lifted off my head.
    She's not usually so forthright.

  12. Just do what I did - put in a fictional ebay bid on his sons bike!

    (Who is lushhead? Anyone know?)

  14. Didn't really.

Not least because my first road bike was a DT50MX and if I'd won with a
bid of £15,000 I'd have ended up turning up with the cash and walked
off with the bike in a fit of nostalgia. :-(

  15. Well, it's gone now. The bloke who collected it - the lad's Dad,
accompanied by his Mum - was in seventh heaven, because he';d almost
given up on finding a decent one.

Oddly, I watched one time out in Streatham this morning. Lower miles,
similar condition (maybe even better), not tuned, long T&T, but crap
description, said it needed a new battery and "should be fine", lousy
    pix...

    ....and it made £445.

  16. Female of the species thing innit.

Like with cats - tomcats do all the prowling around and yowling stuff
and only rarely come to actual blows. Females don't bother with any of
that nonsense (especially when they have kittens) - they just go in to
try to do as much damage as possible in as short a space of time.
