Price details arrived today. Bike plus rider and pillion Liverpool to
Douglas and return 3/6 and 10/6. £228 total. How does that compare with last
    year?

I don't know about last year, but this year it was about 180 IIRC for
    me and bike return.

So perhaps me chosing reasonable sailing times has cost me the extra? 0700
    out, midday back?

  7. Compared with the £30 we're being charged for the French Run, it's
    extortionate.

That old one. Again. So, you think a crossing that's 4 times the
distance, on a route that has 100th of the traffic, should cost the
    same, do you?[/QUOTE]

No. I just like to moan from time to time.

My first thought was much like TOG's. And then I reverted to form and
thought "but that's what it costs, so that's what it costs."

Still more than twice the cost of the bloody accommodation though!

Ooh, good point. The evidence mounts.

Of course, he's a tight as a duck's eyelid too, so there's another
    strike against him.

    I think you've got him!

I don't want to see him in a kilt, thobut.
