Iphone vs Droid

I'm trying to get my hands on the droid atm. That'll mean I have the
best of both worlds. An iPhone for personal use and the droid for
work.

 

I'm almost tempted to get one myself, but I'll no doubt prevaricate for
months about it and by then 2.0 will be around.

 

For extra confusion there is the "Droid" and the "Droid Eris" which is a
rebadged HTC.

It won't be called the Droid in Europe, though - it'll be called the
Millstone, er, Milestone. And it won't have the turn-by-turn navigation
that everyone has been going on about (it seems that Google license
their data from Teleatlas, who are owned by TomTom, who are
understandably against the idea). But it may well have multitouch.

I am planning to get one next year.

 

Um, no I didn't, so thanks for that. I'd assumed Droid was short for
Android and he was referring generically to the OS.

So, by the time I ummm and ahhh, said device might be over here.

And I'm pretty sure that the author didn't, either. But ICBW.

give him credit for. xkcd wouldn't be so great if he weren't.

Quite, but it's not public knowledge on how much is riding on these
new models. I'm not really at liberty to say too.

 

Heh, all things considered, it's fairly slim for a device with a slide out

Actually, whilst the industry is thinking that, it's probably not going
to happen. Not straight away, at least.

Heh, I know. And the fact that Moto has made some serious strategic
mistakes really hasn't helped the mobile phone division.
