Especially when the top box it is in gets ripped off by a lorry that I
had been 'nudged' into, spills its contents and then said contents
gets run over by a few more lorries. Arse.

Lozzo, I'm sorry to report that the rest of the BMW has survived
intact apart from scratches on the top box...

Needless to say that both the potential nudger (which I didn't see)
and the lorry had disappeared into the distance while I was busy
dropping the bike and trying to avoid getting run over at the same
    time.

'kin 'ell do take care Bond.

I was just thinking this morning it seems to be getting easier.

However, I am worried that I might be getting into that 'complacent'
zone - I've nearly had my toes run over a couple of times and brushed my
shoulder against a few moving vehicles......

No, I was stationary in a fairly large gap between the aforementioned
lorry and a car. I don't go for the really tight gaps on the RT and
that probably saved my arse. Anyway, lights go green and I'm about to
take off when the rear of the bike gets nudged towards the lorry quite
hard, bike and me start toppling when the now moving lorry rips off
the top box and the momentum fortunately pushed me away from the
lorry. By the time I (and the bike) had finished bouncing off the
mirror of the car to my left, people were already giving me a wide
    berth...

I think it is, at least partially. I'm just back from the local nick
with the necessary forms to report an RTA with several parties not
stopping and the officer who handed me the forms (biker himself)
didn't know if it was proper recording CCTV or just traffic monitoring.

I had the same thing near Vauxhall recently. Bloke inching forward at
the lights rolled onto my right foot. Looked rather puzzled when I
    shouted "you're on my foot!"

Quite painless, mind, but made it rather difficult to pull away.

In the interests of fairness and much as it pains me. I received
excellent service from two of the Met's finest last week, albeit with
    a very simple query.
