UKRM sense of humour, I believe :).

And the phone is not only broken (screen smashed), the whole case is
bent like a banana. Pretty impressive, that. Yet it still appeared to be
on - no idea if it was still working, didn't fancy getting glass shards
    in my ear.

Of course the additional joke is that you can't turn the phone off when
    the screen is broken...

That aside, there are definitely marks on the numberplate that suggest
the bike was hit from behind, off-centre (so I wasn't imagining the
nudge from behind) and judging by the position of the marks, it looks
more like a car or van than another bike.

Unfortunately the ride home showed up that the bike seems to pull to the
left slightly and in the long fast corners on the M20 (obviously at
69mph, hofficer) I noticed a wobble or looseness that wasn't there
before. Bummer. I need to get the bike checked over to see if there's
any damage; there is no damage obvious to my naked eye but it feels like
the swingarm has gained some movement in a direction that it's not
    supposed to move in.

Hey ho, time to phone Auntie Carole methinks, just to give them a heads
    up.

I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.
