IRC ...Annoying stupid people being immature.

In that a visit to the UKRM chat room proved fruitless and fucking annoying
I have decided to publicly expose the immature antics of one UKRM person.

First visit back in a while and all I get is stupid kick offs by a so called
"OP" of the system that can't stand simple ribaldry and sarcasm or criticism
of things "she" doesn't agree with/like/ or have an opinion for/against.
So until the immature self centred argumentative p*** can be more mature and
less of a piss taking stupid person I'll be off IRC.

Others have gone for the same and similar reasons and not bothered to go
    back.

Others agree that this particular person is annoying in the extreme because
blocking or "K Lining" others from using the system and chatting privately
is particularly immature and annoying especially when adult and mature
conversation is being done in private windows, losing the connection
prevents more mature people having interesting conversations.
If a particular person disagrees with what is being said it should be noted
and stated in the window it appears in, thus leaving private conversations
for others in other windows to be enjoyed.

Shame it really had to come to this. The idea was great until it got
    spoiled.

I can take a joke, as with many on UKRM, and in the past lots more. Many
other online areas too have similar chat rooms without pathetic
interruptions that makes it fun, interesting and worth doing, that's what
the NG is about, an exchange of ideas, suggestions, replies and reports
    however made or intended.

As was the fun of IRC until now.

    About time someone grew up.

No names mentioned at the moment, but wait and see who responds.....

There are ways round this you know. I've been k-lined numerous times by
a major ISP for flooding their IRC server, but it never stopped me going
back and doing it some more ;-)

There are such things as proxies, you know.

Not what I am pointing out, but a nice idea.

I'm not interested in doing that sort of thing anyway, even if I could do
    it.

You'll be off IRC? Blimey that's bound to upset people.

And the "she" indicates two things i) who you're talking about and ii)
    your ignorance.

Like I say, all opinions are interesting and make for threads in a
    newsgroup.
IRC used to be a laugh. Not any more

You missed the point. The point is, that even if you have a fixed IP,
you can still gain access to the server. What you choose to do after
that is of course a matter for your own conscience.

Well, I must say that I think the thought police are a little too active
in irc too. I do try to be diplomatic and hold my tongue, all because I
want to talk to everyone else without being banned or kicked.

I must say that irc is getting to be a little bit of a drag lately[1].

[1]Me trying to be diplomatic btw.

A known "issue" for a long time. You either accept it or use another IRC
server. No point stressing about it.

    It's like poetry.

    For the mature obviously.

It's only become an issue, because it can't be talked about by all those
    involved in the "issue".

This is maybe why lots of people do private chats when someone turns up
and says "no, you are wrong." <fx: boots person off>.. or just starts
posting wanky lyrics, then goes off on one when you tell them to stop
    posting lyrics...

Infact, after I suggested (very politely) that their posting obscure
lyrics was quite annoying, they came back with a very cutting, personal
    directed, sexual based attack.

So it's small wonder that having someone who is kick /kill happy, and with
a manic / agressive personality pisses a few people off. Gawd, it's a sort
of a standing joke that this person is not to be baited... ffs.
