    Any good?

I've got an FJ1200 with a snottoiler [1] and just fitted a IRIS chain,
but haven't had a chance to test it in anger yet. The CBX needs a new
chain (no snottoiler) and was wondering if IRIS are worth going for
again. Or should I play safe with a DID?

(Awaiting advice to 'buy a shaftie')

[1] Fitting after the last chain snapped [2]... no idea what make it
    was.

[2] breaking various bits of the engine, bollox

Don't compromise. Get a DID. The FJs *eat* cheap chains even with a
    Scottoiler.
I only wish Yam had put one on the FJ1100/1200. It would have been an
    excellent choice.
    A cheap one?
    ouch. ££££££!

Funny you mention the snottoiler, I've been considering taking the one
off the Murderer and putting it on the GS1150... What are the benefits
    that I would see?

I'm guessing a cheap one - didn't have any markings on it, no-one wants
to put their name on a crap product I guess.
Kinda pricey - £175 for a second hand engine. It worked out cheaper
than buying new parts - sprocket cover, clutch pushrod, clutch
reservoir, oil filter cover, gear selector shaft :-(

A bent gear selector shaft is a right **** to remove - cause you can't
slide it out if it's bent!
