    The Formative Years:

    Never compromise passion, intensity, time or money. Create through deep
    considered actual individual emotion. Perfect a balance of technology
    and the primitive. Invest absolute faith. Overbuild. Maximise and
    evolve Individual Craftmanship. Relish the challenge. Persist
    eternally. These Iron Laws are the mainstay of the Confederate
    platform, and set the foundation for the design parameters of each
    Confederate motorcycle:

    - Absolute chassis integrity with no frame flex
    - Complete powertrain integrity with no crank to output shaft flex
    -Total fatigue resistance with no core deterioration
    - Powertrain mounting system machined from billet aluminum
    - Precise hand craftsmanship
    - Re-buildable by hand
    - Maintenance simplicity
    - American ergonomic scale
    - Umcompromised component specification
    - Absolute minimal overall weight
    - Absolute minimal un-sprung weight

    With these laws and parameters in mind, the first year, 1991, was
    invested in researching the top engineering and fabrication talent to
    facilitate the creation of the new Confederate brand of American
    motorcycles. In early 1992 the company moved to San Francisco. The
    designs for the patented proprietary chassis and power train mounting
    system, the platform architecture for all Confederate machines, were
    frozen in late 1993. During March of 1994, operations were relocated to
    our 6,000 square foot prototype shop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On
    November 11, 1994, Veteran's Day, our first motorcycle was fired up.
    The ride proved everything we hoped for. It possessed "world class"
    chassis dynamics. But there was something more that was hard to define,
    yet easily felt. The bike was pure, individual, and exotic. The machine
    eminated grace, power, strength, virility, and a fiercely American
    identity.

    The New American Machine
    built . All of them were handmade in small batches to ensure the
    highest level of craftsmanship in each individual motorcycle. The G1
    Hellcat revolutionized the American cruiser. Early riding impressions
    by professional motorcycle journalists affirmed what we already knew.
    Our new proprietary platform architecture was far superior to that of
    any competitor. In the winter of 1999 the U.S. Patent and Trademark
    Office verified this revolutionary design as the strongest, most
    durable, flex free, and rigid chassis and non-unit powertrain mounting
    system in the world by granting patent number 005857538A.

    Refining The Dream
    After 11 years of testing and refining our patented proprietary chassis
    and power train mounting system, we began the arduous task of designing
    the second generation Hellcat. The F124 Hellcat incorporated everything
    we've learned about high performance American motorcycles. With the
    addition of evolutionary technological advances, the bike was even
    lighter and faster. The legendary handling was vastly improved and rear
    wheel power greatly increased. Our newest motorcycle delivered the
    smoothest, yet most controlled ride in the industry. The F124 Hellcat
    was the best machine we had ever created. And now, with introductions
    of a true proprietary engine to mount in our patented "F" platform as
    well as the new "B" platform on which the Wraith was conceived, we
    begin a new era.
