Is it fun biking in Britain?

670 to Andorra on the MapPoint 'shortest route', but Andorra !=
Pyrenees. The NW foothills are around 500.

Shortest, maybe, but any route that involves a ferry from Weymouth to
Jersey and another to St Malo is hardly going to be competitive.

    Not here
Cheaper by shit loads and most of it is pretty good
    Plenty of room here!

There are too many cars and they're all
Very few here especialy when you get out of town
Hmmm no where near as many as there are here!! Feels like one for ever
other road snd they hide the fuckin things. You normaly find them when you
get blinded by the flash. As for 3 figure speed they really throw the book
at you here, though they do have a tiered fine system that works quite well.
Plent of that none of it secure though
Used to live on one wicked lifestyle

  5. The roads around here are spectacularly crap - hence why my bike sat
in the garage for 2 years.

That's Portsmouth - Caen, which I've done a few times & works perfectly
if you do the overnight jobbie.

If you think any roads in the UK are comparable to the ones that can be
found in France, Spain, Italy, Germany etc for someone who likes
twisties, I can only assume you've never ridden abroad.

Sometimes you're a bit thick, really, aren't you? How you can possibly
make such a self-contradictory statement is beyond me.

Trust me, there aren't. Not by a long way. Have you seen any on-bike
vids of the Tail of the Dragon (Deal's Gap)? If not, go YouTubing.
That's the sort of road you can find if you head south - mile after
mile[1] of endless 50-120mph bends on perfect tarmac with virtually no
traffic. Find me a road like that in the UK, & I'll be amazed.

[1] Literally - 20, 30 miles plus with virtually no straight bits.

Wrong. France, Spain and Italy are far better in general.

Seriously, I can point you to a stunning small family owned hotel in
the Pyrenees that has the best biking road I've ever found on its
doorstep, & lots of other superb roads nearby. If you ever fancy a week
away for pure biking (rather than sight seeing etc), you should give it
a go. The downside is you'll probably hate riding here afterwards.
