Is it fun biking in Britain?

  1. Thankfully, that's where most of them stay.

A bloke on my street has a 1960's Trumper Tiger Cub (those half arsed 200cc
singles) and although it looks nice (from a nostalgia POV) it left more oil
on his driveway in 5 minutes than the Zed has had through it in 5 years. I
liked what it sounded like but only because it immediately took me back to
when I was 16 years old and was considering either a Tiger Cub or a BSA C-15
for myself. The C-15 won coz it had 50cc more.

Mind you, neither of 'em had the power to pull a foreskin back anyway.

Lets just remember for a moment there were blokes on 50's iron who could
get round the TT course faster than most of us could on the latest litre
    sprotbikes!!

As a matter of curiosity, how does your best modern time compare with
that of the 1950s winners ?.

The 80's didn't have Hayabusas and GSXR1000's did it?

The 80's didn't have waterproofs that were either.

I had a one-piece Rukka in the 80s that was totally waterproof. Made
you sweat like a bastard, mind.
