only reply to belittle other posters
Is their armchair "Biking" confined to the Sky channel and their garage or
do they feel vulnerable if they were to offer Helpfull replies to people who
    genuinely ask for help

  3. If you're going to do this sort of embittered thing every time you post,
you're in for a rough ride.

Actuerly - you'll find the 'regulars' in here a very friendly and helpful
bunch - they just have certain ways they like things done - like replying
*after* the extract from the post you are replying to...

Me - I'm not *that* regular around here - but I've had an awful lot of
advice/consolation/freindly abuse - kinda makes me feel @ home )

And I really wouldn't acuse the regs of being 'armchair' bikers - 'cos they
    certainly are not...

See - now that's what I meant in my other post...

*Some* would take this last statement as abuse - it's actually friendly
    banter! ;o)

You need to rise above it, post at the bottom and you'll have found a
friendly, helpful group - almost as friendly as UKRM!)

    Erm... No. It isn't.

I really must work on my abuse. I've got the "self" bit cracked. It's
the "others" thing I seem to have problems with.

    OK - fairy 'nuff...

You must work at it a little harder then - I thought the remark had *very*
    friendly overtones...

Yeah, like the usual whinge "when will you be able to afford a proper
    sig sep?"

He's probably pissed off that no-one offered to jump on their bike and
ride over to fix his problem.

Well, I guess I could look at his bike...

That'll certainly fix it for good...

I've posted only a few times over the last couple of years but have never
received anything but decent answers and goodwill, and I'm a Yank. Now, if
*anybody* deserves belittling in this wacky world. . . .

We had our chance last November. Americans are odd, though: 74% believe
that a UFO crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947; 89% believe that
President Kennedy was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy; and, based
on the last election, 51% still believe that Iraq has WMDs.
