I've tried to get in touch with Molly about transferring the direction of it
to my server, so I could rehost and manage it but haven't had any joy yet.
    Molly seems to have disappeared.

If anyone has contact info for her, if they can ask her to drop me a line.
Before you've ask, I've already tried to email her.

It was Dr Zoidberg. Well, he says when he's updated it he'll send it to
    me to host.

Suppose the question is does someone want to pay for ukrm.net and host
it under its original address or change it to ukrm.co.uk here?

  10. Y'know, as hard as I might try, there's no way I could bring myself to say

You sure? When I mailed Tallbloke, he was under the impression it was
him (initially) looking after the site and was hosting it.
Given the fact that there probably isn't a lot of traffic, I can host
it on my machine. That'll save a few quid. Up to you.

  16. You can have a third, if you want to use an interface that you're
    familiar with.

    As for the domain:

    Domain Name: UKRM.NET
    Registrar: IN2NET NETWORK, INC.
    Whois Server: whois.in2net.com
    Referral URL: http://www.in2net.com
    Name Server: DNS1.DOTEASY.COM
    Name Server: DNS2.DOTEASY.COM
    Status: redemptionPeriod
    Updated Date: 12-jun-2008
    Creation Date: 02-may-2001
    Expiration Date: 02-may-2008

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Redemption Period lasts 30 days (in order to allow the current owner
to get their shit together) and is followed by a 5 day Pending Delete
cycle. Then the domain is available for anyone to register again.
Well, if the current owner doesn't re-register, there's little to no
hope of getting the live version back down from it's current hosting.
    Do you have a backup?

  17. http://kb.doteasy.com/questions/107/Understanding+the+domain+lifecycle.
describes the process of expiring a domain name. It expired on 02/05 so it
should be available again in about a month.
Only the DNS entry has been removed, the web site is still there. So if
you know the IP address, which is 65.61.216.22, you can create a hosts
file entry and access it as normal, and use a web crawling tool such as
    wget to retrieve it.

    I can do a what...?

I've mailed doteasy to see if they have the content and if I register
it with them they could provide me with it.

IIRC Cab had taken a copy of it from http://www.archive.org/
not a lot of it had been updated for a while

    Timo Geusch Guest

That's what I thought, but shouldn't the redemption period have expired?

While I've got your attention, are you still the man to speak to for
information about getting "stuff" from A to B?

    I can do a what...?[/QUOTE]

    Create a file in ..

    c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

    Call it 'hosts'.

    Edit it ..

65.61.216.22 ukrm.net ukrm losers cunts twats

    Save it.

Now you can point your browser at any of the 'addresses' on the right,
and your PC will find the IP address on the left.

Nota bene: if you edit the file with notepad, use double quotation marks
    around the name.
