Is the S1 a quiet (and good) helmet ?

Looking for a new helmet - want a quiet one for high speed touring
(69 mph) and a comfortable one.
Dealer has suggested the S1 but can't let me test it, so anyone out there
    tried/got and like ?

    Thanks

Nick scribbled on the back of a napkin:
Would that be a Schuberth S1 or a HongDingFeckOrf S1?

If it's the former then both Paul Varnsvery and myself have one.

Yes, it's very comfy once you got your bonce through the little hole at
the bottom (it's a very snug fit to minimise the wind noise). It's also
the quiestest helmet I've found so far, but it is a bit sensitive to
the airflow - if you get the airflow from the screen *directly* under
the chin then it'll get a lot noisier. A lot of helmets do that anyway
but I find it a lot more noticeable with the Schuberth. Normally not a
problem on a sports bike but it's quite noticeable on a Pan. But at the
end of the day, it's rather quiet although I still need earplugs.

The flip-down sun visor is extremely useful as well. Finish is good as
far as I can tell, nothing's fallen off yet and everything seems to
    work as intended.

Bad points - I'm on the third visor by now (they have an anti-fog
coating that comes off due to a manufacturing fault, but I've always
got replacement visors no questions asked) and the inside of the visor
needs to be kept painstakingly clean in order for the anti-fog coat to
work. I've had a few problems with the helmet in "small mammals" type
rain (once you have to open the visor and it gets wet on the inside
you've lost) and I keep meaning to email Schuberth about that but keep
forgetting. Also, it doesn't have that much airflow through the helmet
    (obviously to keep it quiet).

Schuberth are very helpful - I'm skipping the importer and the dealer
when I have problems with the helmet as one or two emails to them
usually produce the desired results. What annoys me is that this is a
"mid-price" helmet in Germany but retails in the UK for 1EUR = 1GBP
which makes it rather expensive over here.

For me it was the cheaper alternative as the only other helmet that fit
properly was the Arai RX-7 Corsair (which is confirmed noisy) so I took
a chance. Not sure if I'd buy one again TBH but there aren't many
helmets that fit me well since Shoei changed the shape between XR900
    and XR1000.

There is very little I can add to Timo's comprehensive comments. I
agree with just about everything he has said.

What I can add is that Schuberth make it clear the aerodynamics of
different bikes (and the stature of individual riders, with the
consequent effect on where their head sits in relation to the airflow)
will affect noise levels within the helmet.

By strange dint of chance, given the subject of this thread; I rode an
R1200RT today, whilst my 1150 was in for a service, and put this
statement to the test. The screen on the 1200RT sits higher at its
maximum setting, so the noise level inside my S1 was much lower than
when my 1150's screen is at its highest setting.
