Talk about reading what isn't written. The track only occupies about 1/3 of
    the land which he bought.

  8. My sources tell me this accommodation is being planned to house GP
teams and other visitors and will not affect the track.

The track will continue to be used as it is now, but with further
    upgrades in the pipeline.

The only downside, according to my mate, is that track hire costs will
skyrocket to the point that track days (via Aust Superbike School)
    will become unaffordable to most.

There is also a new track being planned, to meet F1 standards, out at
Melton, West of Melbourne. The land has been purchased and some survey
work done, but the developers appear to have gone silent and nothing
has been reported for several months.

    Kind regards

Until all the people who pay ridiculous amounts of money for the
townhouses bitch and complain about those "damn noisey motorcycle
hooligans" spoiling their peaceful weekends, and the whole GP gets moved
    elsewhere where there's no bitching.

Hey, maybe they'll send it back to Eastern Creek. :)

My sources tell me this accommodation is being planned to house GP
500 three-story townhouses... for GP teams? Doesn't that sound somewhat
    ridiculous to you?
They've already upped their prices substantially to reflect their new
contract with Fox&Co (or to reflect their newfound monopoly). It
therefore seems unlikely that Fox would proceed to squeeze out their
newfound bedmate, even if contractually they could.

  13. Did you not see the "other visitors" bit?

It means there will be a whole new bunch of trackside accommodation
available to people visiting the circuit for all sorts of reasons.
That track is used most weekends and there has always been a shortage
    of accommodation on P.I.

Some would say it's much needed and still not enough.
Aust Superbike School has a 5 year contract I'm told. What happens
    after that is anybody's guess.

    Kind regards

Maths is not your long suit, is it....

100 Hectares, 50 ways, is 2 hectares each.

    I don't *know* 50 people who could raise $200,000.

Apart from the track, that part of PI has little to offer. People going
to PI for holidays want either a beach they can walk to, or somewhere
quiet to get away from it all. A development with a couple of hundred
townhouses miles from a good beach isn't going to satisfy either.

Lets hope stage 3 isn't a theme park.
