Are they annoyed that Hamas plan to take control of the Rafah
    crossing?

The first words out of the presenter's mouth, was to state that the
'Palestinians' were blaming Israel for the fighting. Resisting what
must have been a strong desire to reply, 'and if it rains in the Gaza
Strip, is that the Israelis' fault too, you fuckhead?', he just smiled
and replied that Israelis were a little tired of getting blamed for
everything that happens to the 'Palestinians'.

Wouldn't it be nice if all sides concerned stopped fucking killing each
    other?

Des, the Israelis don't have clean hands in this affair you know. None
of the factions have any moral high-ground.

I've never claimed that they have. Nor have I (to respond to the
_awesome_ non sequitur posted by someone Saturday afternoon) claimed
that the Jews are 'better'. The acts of the Israelis have to be seen in
the context, i.e. that unlike _any_ other country on earth today, they
are surrounded by a half-dozen or so heavily armed (and getting more
heavily armed every day) countries who want one thing only and that is
the complete destruction of the state of Israel and the expulsion or
murder of every Jew living in the area.

It's easy to sit here in Europe and say, 'Israel shouldn't act that
way', and perhaps in absolute terms, they should. But I feel sure that
if the UK (or France) were in the same situation as Israel, that we'd
feel somewhat differently about the occasional (undeniably) use of
    excessive force.
